MARIN: As younger generations come in and don’t know me from anything else—or don’t know me at all; they have no idea of Cheech and Chong. I remember this friend of mine, she had these two young twin daughters and she [introduced them to me, saying] "This is my friend Cheech and he acts in movies." One of the girls says, "Well, what have you been in?" So I said, "Well, uh, I was in The Lion King" and I start doing the voice for them and it was like Brad Pitt showed up.

Hard to measure which one is more iconic of the 70s, the Screaming Chicken or the late Burt Reynolds’ mustache. So many of the cars in the classic car chase comedy could be considered classics, but the Pontiac Firebird lived in the muscle car shadow by both the Pontiac GTO and the Chevy Camaro. Sales of the second generation Firebird were improving by the time the GTO died and the Bandit came around, but from 1977 to 1979, before Pontiac ditched its larger engines, sales of the Trans Am nearly doubled, making it as glorious as that mustache.

The three formulations generate similar profiles. The initial work (shear) to mix the dry powders does not result in significant changes in FPM, however, FPM rises rapidly as water is added, indicating the development of larger, denser, less compressible and more adhesive granules. A peak FPM is observed shortly after the end of water addition, after which FPM declines as the continued mixing generates smaller granules. It was also observed that FPM increases with respect to HPC percentage, suggesting that higher binder concentration results in stronger, denser and larger granules. The BFE profiles support the FPM data, showing a rising profile during water addition and subsequent decay as water addition ends, as well as the increase with respect to binder content.
